Drive Medical Basic Scooter Repair and Troubleshooting
Here are a few tips below that may save you time and money to try before calling AP Scooter Repair at 904.5514926.
The diagnostic flash codes for your scooter are designed to help you perform basic troubleshooting quickly and easily. A diagnostic flash code can be displayed in one of two ways:

1. A light labeled "Diagnostic" on the control panel will flash
​
2. The battery indicator light farthest to the left on the battery gauge (red light) will flash a 2 digit fault.

Please refer to the diagram below for flash codes, description of problem, and recommended actions.
Flash Code: 1,1
Description: Thermal Fault
Recommendation Action: Power off the scooter, let rest for 15 minutes, and power on.
Flash Code: 1,2
Description: Throttle Fault
Recommended Action: Check throttle connection, replace if necessary. Call AP Scooter Repair Services at 904.551.4926 (Hours M-F 9AM-5PM, EST)

Flash Code; 1,3
Description: Speed Pot Fault
Recommended Action: Check speed pot connection, replace speed pot if necessary.

Description: Low Voltage
Recommended Action: Charge the battery pack

Flash Code: 2,3
Description: Main Fault
Recommended Action: Call AP Scooter Repair Services at Contact AP Scooter Repair at 302.516.7186 (Hours M-F 9AM -5PM, EST)

Flash Code: 3,2
Description: Brake Fault
Recommended Action: Engage the freewheel lever to "drive" mode.

Flash Code: 3,4
Description: Throttle Fault
Recommended Action: Make sure the throttle is in the rest or neutral position when powering on.
Flash Code; 4,5
Description: Battery Fault
Recommended Action: Check connections to the battery & charge the battery pack if necessary.
Once the recommended action is taken, turn the scooter off and then back on again to clear the flash code. If the problem was not corrected, or another problem exists the controller may display another flash code.
ATTENTION – Your scooter may have a diagnostic light on the tiller that will stay on constantly. The light will begin to flash when you have a serviceable item.
